Mobile Suit: Gundam and Hello Kitty have successfully crossed over in the past, most recently in celebration of Gundam‘s 40th anniversary. However, the odd pairing from last year was such a huge hit that the brands are releasing two Gundam-inspired Hello Kitty Mecha figures. Crunchyroll revealed the first look into the “Peaceful Figures Of Friendship” collection, which showcases two Hello Kitty mech suits that resemble a traditional Gundam unit as well as Char’s iconic Zaku unit. Each tiny Hello Kitty pilot also comes dressed as Amuro and Char.
The 4.1-inch figures are being manufactured by Bandai Spirits (Tamashii) and feature light-up eyes that emote, detailed jet-boosters under its feet, and the aforementioned pilots that can fix inside the mech’s cockpit head. The figures also came attached with a new anime-inspired commercial that can be seen below.
Grab both editions of the “Peaceful Figures Of Friendship” Hello Kitty x Gundam figures for ¥7480 JPY (approximately $69 USD) from Tamashii’s webstore when it arrives in July 2020.
In other collectable news, check out an official upcoming life-sized Baby Yoda figure from The Mandalorian.
